Description

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tax Accountant to join our finance team. The Tax Accountant will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of the company's tax compliance, reporting, and planning activities. This position requires a thorough understanding of US tax laws and regulations, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex tax concepts effectively.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for the company, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Coordinate with external tax advisors and auditors to support the annual tax provision and compliance processes.

Research and interpret tax laws and regulations to ensure the company's tax strategies are optimized and compliant.

Assist with tax planning initiatives to minimize the company's tax liabilities and optimize its financial performance.

Analyze financial data and prepare tax projections and forecasts to support strategic decision-making.

Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the company's tax position.

Maintain accurate tax records and documentation to support tax filings and audits.

Assist with tax-related inquiries and audits from regulatory authorities as needed.

Collaborate with other departments, such as finance, legal, and operations, to ensure tax implications are considered in business decisions.
