Description

Job Title: Senior Import Officer

Location: BEL Group, Karachi

Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage all import-related activities, including documentation, shipment tracking, and customs clearance.

• Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, and regulatory authorities to ensure timely delivery of goods.

• Ensure compliance with import regulations and trade laws.

• Prepare and review import documentation such as bills of lading, invoices, and certificates of origin.

• Negotiate rates with shipping and logistics providers to optimize cost and efficiency.

• Monitor and manage inventory levels to align with import schedules.

• Resolve any issues related to shipments, customs delays, or discrepancies.

• Logistics Coordination:

• Coordinate shipment planning with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other logistics providers.

• Manage export and import documentation, including invoices, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.

• Monitor shipment progress and address any delays or issues.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

• - years of experience in import/export operations or logistics.

• Strong knowledge of import regulations, customs procedures, and trade documentation.

• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

• Proficiency in import management software and Advance MS Office Suite.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
