We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Shopify Developer to join our innovative team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Shopify development, a keen eye for design, and a proven track record of creating exceptional eCommerce experiences. As a Senior Shopify Developer, you will lead projects, mentor junior developers and ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development and customization of Shopify themes to create engaging and visually appealing eCommerce websites.
Implement advanced features and functionalities to enhance the performance and user experience of Shopify stores.
Collaborate with designers, project managers, and clients to understand project requirements and deliver solutions that exceed expectations.
Optimise Shopify websites for maximum speed, scalability, and performance.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to Shopify websites and integrations.
Conduct regular code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and best practices.
Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Stay updated with the latest trends, tools, and best practices in Shopify development and eCommerce.
Skills and Qualification:
Extensive experience in Shopify development, including theme customization and app integration.
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX and Liquid (Shopify's templating language).
Strong understanding of eCommerce principles and best practices.
Proven experience with Shopify Plus and custom Shopify development.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to lead projects and work collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Preferred Skills:
Experience with version control systems such as Git.
Experience with Script Editor, Flows, and Checkout Extensibility is highly preferred.
Knowledge of SEO best practices for eCommerce websites.
Understanding of UX/UI design principles.
Familiarity with other eCommerce platforms such as BigCommerce, Webflow, Squarespace and WooCommerce.
Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
