JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION CODE :HRD-PC/TD-  

DEPARTMENT / PROGRAM :Mental Health Program 

REPORTING TO :Deputy Manager, Research 

EMPLOYMENT TYPE :Contractual 

LOCATION :Karachi, Pakistan 

JOB PURPOSE

The incumbent will be responsible to assist Program Manager in carrying out research by collecting data through qualitative and quantitative techniques, analyzing data and presenting it.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Research and Coordination [ %]

Prepare literature reviews through secondary research.

Write and publish research reports, articles, short blurbs to disseminate findings.

Data collection through qualitative (in-depth interviews/focus groups) and quantitative (questionnaires/surveys) techniques.

Analyse data using SPSS or STATA and MAXQDP (Preferred).

Maintain integrity and completeness of data collected (weekly or bi-monthly).

Fill out Internal Review Board (IRB) forms for approval of research proposals and prepare for IRB documentation.

Supervise, train, and manage field workers involved in the study.

Prepare presentation slides for the managers meeting.

Any other task assigned by the Line Manager.

Participate in weekly operational meeting with core team to provide program updates.

Miscellaneous [ %]

Act as departmental representative for internal and external partners in absence of Deputy Manager, Research. 

Other activities pertaining to overall scope of the Mental Health Program as and when required.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES (KSA)

Required Qualification

Bachelor’s degree(s) in a relevant field including public health, social science, international relations. 

Development or another relevant field.

Computer Literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office 

Fluency in English/Urdu (oral and written) will be strongly preferred

Hands on experience of SPSS and STATA (Desired, but not mandatory)
