Description
Experience: Typically – + years in technical sales, estimation, or field engineering, depending on the seniority level.Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel for costing) and engineering software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, excellent technical writing, and effective communication/negotiation abilities.
Bid Analysis & Preparation: Analyze Request for Proposals (RFPs), tenders, and blueprints to fully understand client specifications and requirements.Cost Estimation & Pricing: Calculate material, labor, and production costs while factoring in risk assessments to create profitable yet competitive quotes.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with design, procurement, finance, and sales departments to build accurate proposal packages.Client Communication: Answer technical queries, negotiate terms, and present tailored engineering solutions to non-technical stakeholders and management.
