Description

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Finance Manager to oversee all financial operations in Pakistan for a fast-growing cross-border business (Chinese-invested / multinational environment).

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Bookkeeping

Handle daily bookkeeping, general ledger management, and financial record review

Ensure all accounts are accurate, compliant, and aligned with Pakistani regulations and group standards

Taxation & Compliance

Manage all tax filings and payments, including but not limited to:

• Corporate Income Tax

• Sales Tax / VAT

• Withholding Tax

Liaise directly with FBR and ensure full tax compliance

Coordinate with tax consultants and auditors to mitigate tax risks

Payroll & HR-related Finance

Manage payroll processing, employee income tax, and statutory deductions

Ensure payroll practices fully comply with local labor and tax laws

Cross-border Payments & Banking Operations

Handle cross-border payments, FX settlements, and profit repatriation

Maintain relationships with local and international banks

Manage bank accounts, KYC documentation, and all compliance requirements

Budgeting & Financial Analysis

Prepare quarterly and annual budgets

Monitor budget execution and perform variance analysis

Provide financial insights and reports to management

Financial Reporting

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

Generate management reports for headquarters and shareholders

Audit & Internal Control

Coordinate external audits and regulatory inspections

Establish and continuously improve internal financial control systems and procedures

Other Financial Support

Support JV operations, related-party transactions, and contract financial reviews

Assist with financial matters related to company setup, expansion, and compliance

Qualifications & Requirements

Background & Experience

Background in banking or major financial institutions preferred

Strong knowledge of Pakistan’s tax and financial regulatory system

Experience serving Chinese-invested or multinational companies

Logistics, supply chain, or freight forwarding industry experience is a plus

Education & Certifications

Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Accounting, or related fields

Professional qualifications such as CA / ACCA / CMA / CPA preferred

Language Skills

Fluent in English (written and spoken)

Mandarin Chinese – required (knowledge of Chinese is a must)

Skills & Competencies

Solid understanding of local accounting standards and IFRS

Strong compliance, risk control, and analytical capabilities

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with management, banks, and government authorities

Professional Ethics

High integrity and strong sense of responsibility

Ability to work independently in a fast-growing cross-border business environment
